A Virginia elementary school teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two students, according to Fairfax County police.
John Barger, a 47-year-old teacher from Springfield, Virginia, was taken into custody on Thursday after police received a tip about the allegations. The investigation began on January 17, when authorities were informed that Barger had assaulted a student at Fairview Elementary School in Fairfax Station.
As detectives dug deeper, they discovered that Barger had allegedly assaulted two students on separate occasions.
Barger, who has been teaching since 2017, was immediately placed on administrative leave and remains suspended. Right now, he is being held without bond as the case moves forward.
